At Smart Kids Development Center, the goal of all our summer camp programs (plus all our preschool, daycare and other child care programs) is to help children learn empathy by practicing activities that help them pick up on friends' emotions, support them, respect each other, respect property and practice good manners. We do this using our Positive Action Curriculum that's aligned with the five core social emotional learning competencies:
Through our summer program curriculum, we strive to create a nurturing environment where children feel valued, respected and supported in their emotional growth. Our activities are designed to promote self-awareness by encouraging children to express their feelings and thoughts through various forms of art, music and storytelling.
Our physical environment is flexible and centered on the needs of our children. Classrooms have different areas of interest designed for various different activities, helping promote engagement, learning and creativity. Our learning spaces have comfortable seating, natural lighting and soft colors to create a calm and welcoming atmosphere for the children.
At Smart Kids Development Centers, our summer camp programs include daily recreational field trips to bring a hands-on experience to our children. This helps them discover new things, explore the world around them and create lasting memories, all while improving the learning process as well.
We carefully plan and organize these field trips, with all of the following locations and themes included:
